I would like to use the Save Passwords feature in Toad to remember my username and login for my databases especially because I have too many connections to remember myself. However the computer I am using is shared with others users . Are there any possible workarounds?
Avoid saving passwords on computers that are not secure. Another possible workaround is to install Toad for Oracle as a Terminal Server/Citrix installation. This will store the password files in your Window's Application and Settings folder. Unless other users are admins, they would not be able to access these folders. This is still no guarantee the password is safe.
