Do we need to take a backup from new publisher, copy, and restore on new subscriber server? I don't have to do that with native logshipping.
1) LiteSpeed (LS) log shipping is setup and working fine
2) Moving publisher server to new server
3) Moving subscriber to a new server
4) Add new publisher and new subscriber server as targets to current publisher.
5) Copy last backup on new fully operational publisher and restoring / read only state on the new subscriber .
6) Setup log shipping from new publisher to new subscriber.
Litespeed has many of the same features as native logshipping.
If a full backup is not needed with native then it should not be needed with Litespeed.
Once you setup a new Plan for logshipping from the new publisher to the new subscriber you do not need another backup.
