In certain circumstances it may be required that Public Folder permissions not be synchronized during the migration.
Take the following steps:
1. From the Migration Manager console, under the Exchange Data tab, select Tools | Options.
2. Highlight the "Additional parameters for agents configuration files". If this is not available, you can make this visible by opening regedit and navigating to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Aelita\Migration Manager\CurrentVersion\Exchange Data\ and creating the following Value:
Name: ShowAdditionalParameters
Type: DWORD
Value: 1
If the console is on a 64-bit system then the registry would be HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Aelita\Migration Manager\CurrentVersion\Exchange Data
3. Click Add then set "AllowCopyPermissions" to a value of 0. Make sure the "encrypt to HEX format" checkbox is not checked and "Apply to" is set to "Agent Configuration". From the drop down box select the agent you wish to apply the parameter to. If you wish to skip the permissions being synced in both directions in a two way sync you must make two entries. One for the Quest Public Folder Source Agent and another for the Target agent.
4. Click OK and the config.ini file on the agents will be updated with the changes.
