Diagnostic Console Alarm log fails with "MAPI error 1: The message was canceled by the user" when trying to send email notification that an Alarm has been raised.
MAPI could be corrupted or conflicting with something else on the client server.
Use SMTP instead of MAPI to send the email message notifications:
1. Open the Diagnostic Console
2. Click View | Options | Spotlight Console...
3. From the left-pane click Servers
4. Select Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
5. Click Options
6. Populate the Name, Email address and Server information.
7. Click OK.
8. Click OK (To close Options)
Email messages coming from the Diagnostic Console will now use SMTP instead of MAPI.
