After installing Toad for SQL Server the application can't connect to the database and the following error occurs:
Error. System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException Element not found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070490)
RESOLUTION 1:
1. Reboot the machine if it was has not rebooted since the installation. Retest the issue
2. If issue persists, there may have been a corruption during the install. Re-install Toad for SQL Server.
RESOLUTION 2:
1. Close Toad.
2. Go to C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server 4.1 folder, locate ngenUninstall.bat file and run it.
3. In the same directory, locate ngenWrapper.exe file and run it.
