When running an Export of a Notes Directory, you notice that NME is stripping out some characters from the Internet Address field when applying them to the Target/SMTP Address field.
For Exchange 2010/Exchange 2007, NME supports the following characters in the Internet Address field and populate them through to the TargetAddress/SMTP Address field.
! # $ % & ' * + - / = ? ^ _ ` . { | } ~
When it comes to Office 365, the Target Address/SMTP Address field will strip out any characters which are not supported in a username. More information on reserved characters and Office 365 Username/Passwords can be found here"
In Office 365 the Username is the Primary SMTP address.
