Error Performing Restore: A data transfer error occurred performing the restore. The stream appears to have been cutoff mid-transfer.
Legacy Restore (restoring a vRanger 3.x archive)
The error is occurring because the ESX server is unable to resolve the server name of where the vRanger 3.x archive resides to its IP address.
Use the IP address instead of the server name when creating the path to the archive (for example: \\xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa\<share>\<folder>)
or
Add a hosts entry to the ESX server
