Description:
VaultDR Online Windows backup fails with "DeviceIoControl failed to Sync partition" error.
Symptoms:
Vault DR Online backup fails immediately after the Vault DR Online APM is installed. The following errors are logged -
DeviceIoControl failed to Sync partition: C:. The Device is not ready
Failed to Sync partition: C:
Check to see if Client is on other side of firewall. If so, Firewall needs to be configured to open port 10000 for bidirectional udp and tcp traffic and also include the port on the firewall tab in the configurator of that client. An example of this would be is you already have the firewall tab set to ports 20031 to 20131 then the syntax would be "20031 - 20131, 10000"
