Adding an NFS repository fails with the error "Failed to connect to repository. Please verify your credentials and ensure the directory path is correct."
This error is caused with vRanger 5.0 when adding a particular type of NFS repository.
There are usually three types of NFS repositories which are not affected by this issue:
1.) NAS unit NFS shares such as netgear readynas or Iomega, etc ( excepting freenas or openfiler )
2.) WSU NFS shares (slow but usually just worked .. )
3.) Linux distribution NFS shares as repos via such OSes as Ubuntu, Suse, RHEL / centOS, etc
4th type of NFS repository:
Any / all net / FreeBSD OS-based NFS shares, which likely incorporates the netAPP & EMC s SAN-based share iterations(using a streamlined linux or BSD kernel-based framework layer for their device OS-layer operations) these shares could not be added as repositories to vRanger 5.0.0
There are two possible resolutions:
A.) Please modify/migrate your repository to be more in line with type 1, 2 or 3.
or
B.) This issue is scheduled to be addressed in vRanger 5.2.x Please upgrade your vRanger 5.0 to version 5.2 (When available)
