How do I change the password of an InTrust Organization installation?

There may be a need to change the InTrust Organization password for security reasons or in case it has been forgotten.

Some customers may wish to change their InTrust Organization password.

For InTrust version 10.7 or earlier versions

At a command prompt, go to C:\Program Files\Quest Software\InTrust\Server\ADC\SupportTools and find the utility adcorgpwd.exe. The location of the SupportTools folder will vary depending the install of InTrust and upgrades.

For InTrust version 11.0 to 11.2

At a command prompt, go to C:\Program Files\Dell\InTrust\Server\ADC\SupportTools and find the utility adcorgpwd.exe. The location of the SupportTools folder will vary depending the install of InTrust and upgrades.

For InTrust version 11.3 to 11.4.1

At a command prompt, go to C:\Program Files\Quest\InTrust\Server\ADC\SupportTools (or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest\InTrust\Server\ADC\SupportTools" on 64 bit Windows) and find the utility adcorgpwd.exe. The location of the SupportTools folder will vary depending the install of InTrust and upgrades.

Usage:
  adcorgpwd.exe [-print] -interactive
  adcorgpwd.exe [-print] -pwd <new_password>
Set the new organization password for the server and store its hash in LSA

adcorgpwd.exe [-help]
Print this screen.

Options:
  -i[nteractive]       Prompt for the new password securely.
  -pwd <new_password>  Specify the new password directly on the command line.
  -p[rint]             Print the password hash.

NOTE: If there are multiple InTrust servers in the Organization, you need to change password on every instance

If the above mentioned support tools are missing, these can be installed from the InTrust installation media, find: "<MEDIA>\InTrust\Server\ADC_SERVER_RESOURCE_KIT.10.<x>.msi" (file name will be different for each version) and install this to the working InTrust Server first, then follow the previous instructions.
