Technically, there is no issue in enabling the Lock Pages in Memory (LPIM) option for Archive Manager service account. However, it has been suggested that should the SQL Server be dedicated for Archive Manager usage only, the benefits would be minimal (if any).
While this option may improve the performance, administrator(s) should be mindful of the physical memory available. If the physical memory is insufficient, enabling the option may in fact give rise to potential memory issues when the system is prevented from paging the data to virtual memory on disk.
Hence, our recommendation is that an administrator should only consider enabling this option if he/she is confident that there is sufficient physical memory on idle.
