The Exchange Store Manager Service (ESM) stops processing emails in certain folders in a users Mailbox.
The mailbox scan status for the users mailbox may show this error:
"One or more MAPISVC.INF files could not be updated; aborting profile creation. Please click here to search the knowledgebase for possible causes".
The ESM.log will show this error:

The Exchange Store Manager Service (ESM) is unable to process a specific message
WORKAROUND:
1. Perform a backup of last email that ESM is processing per the users .WLOG
E.g. In the Problem Description above, it is the email with the Subject: "Used to love running these photos of Dave to help his profile in the NT" from the '"Sent Items'" folder.
2. Delete the email mentioned on the Step 1 from the users mailbox in Microsoft Outlook. Note: it is best to hard delete the message (permanently delete) otherwise the ESM will crash on the message when it scans the Deleted Items folder.
3. Restart the Archive Exchange Store Manager Service.
