For the FMS to shutdown gracefully if the O/S shutdown command is executed and the FMS to startup when the O/S is booted to multi-user mode.
This is documented in the readme.txt file in the FMS installation directory $FGLHOME/scripts/init.d
The O/S type folders with example scripts for modification are found in $FGLHOME/scripts/init.d

Each Unix and Linux system has its own means of starting and stopping software and services.
Provided are model scripts that give the basic required functionality to meet those needs.
Since most Unix and Linux systems are likely to be highly customized to their individual roles in the business, the scripts may need to be customized further during a Quest Professional Services engagement or otherwise.
