installing Foglight Agent Manager on hpux itanium failed - ERROR [native] (internal) Could not -
Description
Trying to install FglAM (fglam-5_5_5_4-hpux-ia64.bin) on a HPUX Itanium and have the following error:
ERROR [native] (internal) Could not find or load class
com/quest/glue/core/Glue java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) -
Cause
LD_LIBRARY_PATH is referencing JDK 1.5

Resolution
Remove the references to JDK 1.5 from their LD_LIBRARY_PATH. It is causing the 1.5 JDK libraries to be loaded before the FglAM installer's copy of 1.6. The 1.5 JVM is unable to load classes compiled with 1.6 because they contain features that the 1.5 JVM does not know of.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once they get FglAM installed, you'll need to perform the same operation (remove all references to JDK 1.5 from LD_LIBRARY_PATH) before starting FglAM, for the same reasons.. -
