After a server restart the Foglight Management Server fails to start. The Management Server log file indicates the following:
2009-09-23 11:24:02.747 ERROR [main] org.jboss.deployment.MainDeployer - Could not create deployment: file:/G:/Quest_Software/Foglight/server/default/deploy-hasingleton/nitrogen-singleton-service.xml
org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: No ClassLoaders found for: com.quest.nitro.service.deployer.NitrogenExtensionDeploymentScanner; - nested throwable: (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: No ClassLoaders found for: com.quest.nitro.service.deployer.NitrogenExtensionDeploymentScanner)
On windows, if a file is locked when an un-installation is going on, it will be put on a queue which is checked by the OS on the next reboot and removed. If the user doesnt follow theun-installers instruction to reboot and immediately carry out a new installation, the next time the machine reboots some files can be missing as a result.
1) Check to see if the foglight.sar file is still in installation directory structure? It should be in FGL_HOME\server\default\deploy.
If this file is missing
2) Copy one from a working 5.5 installation or download it from this solution and place it in the FGL_HOME\server\default\deploy folder
3) Start the Foglight Server software.
