APM not seeing specific IP which is a SOAP consumer IP -
Description
Customer needs help figuring out why two specific IP not being shown in All in One Foglight APM?
environment -AIO APM 5.6.10 - Version: 5.9.3.5 (quest-1EU-cartridges-enduser-5.9.3.5-71)
1. tcpdump from the appliance does show interested traffic between client and server (SOAP)
2. verified that hit search in APM ( using expert search as well ) did not show those 2 specific client IP. We can see all other traffic to the same SOAP server
3. looking at logs under /opt/quest/health, I could tell that the SSL status on server is pretty good ( error rate is close to zero ). The sniffer relay log shows some amount of DiscardCountForMalformedHTTP.

Cause
Basically it is a problem with encrypted clients sending POSTs that use chunked encoding to transmit the message. This is similar to fxm-537. We reported the hit request but never the response.However, in APM the outcome might be a little different (entire hit gets discarded). -
Resolution
This issue has been assigned change ID APMDATA-1480 and was implemented in APM patch version 5.9.3_20140324_40 -
