Error: "Watchdog rules template does not exist the file ../state/default/config/watchdog.base isn't present" -
Description
When stopping and starting the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM), the following the message can be found in the log files:
"Watchdog rules template does not exist the file ../state/default/config/watchdog.base isn't present"
What is the cause of this?

Cause
The error message means, that the file, which is used to tell the Watchdog process what to look for is missing or could not be read. -
Resolution
This message can be ingored.
Within Foglight 5.6.* the Watchdog process is available, but not enabled by default.
