Foglight alarm email includes a link with an incorrect URL -
Description
The link to the alarm that is included in the alarm email notification is incorrect, for example:
- Uses the incorrect port (e.g. port 8080 instead of 8443)
- Uses the wrong hostname (e.g. the URL needs to reference a resolvable hostname)
- In FMS in Hight Availability configuration sometimes it needs to point to a DNS alias

Cause
Foglight uses Registry Variable CATALYST_URL to build the alarm link. -
Resolution
Set the proper port number for the Foglight Registry variable CATALYST_URL
- Navigate to Administration | Rules & Notifications | Manage Registry Variables
- Search for CATALYST_URL and click on its name, the context menu opens
- Click on View and Edit Details, the Edit Registry Variable view opens
- In the Global Default field, click the Change button, the Global Value Wizard dialog opens
- Edit the URL to the desired value
- Click on Finish to apply the change
