A device has disconnected and is reflected successfully within NMS studio. However, an alarm was not fired within the Foglight Alarms dashboard to state that this device had disconnected. What can be done to ensure, this is fired within Foglight in future?
CAUSE 1: The specific alarm may have been fired before the integration with Foglight was carried out, which can cause this behaviour. This is working by desgin.
CAUSE 2: The affected device has a role assigned that is not specified within the "Included Role List" within the NMS Agent properties
RESOLUTION 1: Ensure the alarm that was fired is cleared/reset within the NMS studio. When this is carried out, the alarm will populate within the Foglight Alarms dashboard when the device disconnects in future.
RESOLUTION 2: Add the relevant Role (Server, Router, etc) to the Included Role List under the NMS Agent Properties.
