I just upgraded to FglAM (Agent Manager) version 5.6.2+, but I still have some FglAM components that are 5.5.5 in Cartridge Inventory (below). Why is that and what do I do about it?
FglAM-aix-powerpc 5.5.5 555-20100610-1921
FglAM-hpux-ia64 5.5.5 555-20100610-1921
FglAM-linux-ia32 5.5.5 555-20100610-1921
FglAM-linux-x86_64 5.5.5 555-20100610-1921
FglAM-patch 5.5.5.4.2 55542-20110328-1620
FglAM-windows-ia32 5.5.5 555-20100610-1921
FglAM-windows-x86_64 5.5.5 555-20100610-1921
Those are empty carts used only to provide the names of the platform-specific and patch .car files; they are analogous to the "FglAM-all" cartridge which you do have on your system.
What appears to have happened is that when you installed FglAM 5.5.5, you downloaded and deployed all of the individual platform-specific car files, instead of just using the FglAM-all.car file. When you upgraded to 5.6.*, you used the all car, which successfully upgraded all the real content, but did not replace these empty "naming" carts.
WORKAROUND
These old carts can be safely removed, they will not have any impact on the active current versions.
STATUS
Enhancement Request (FAM-4122) was logged to remove obsolete FglAM cartridges left behind after a FglAM cartridge upgrade.
Please check the Components for Download screen. Do you see the FglAMs available for download?
If these are missing, deactivate the 5.5.5 FglAMs on your system, the 5.6.2+ should show up.
