I installed the FglAM as root on my AIX system, but now I need to change it to a non-root user. What is the procedure for changing the FglAM user from root to a non-root user and what permissions does the user need to have?
Resolution

WORKAROUND
Please review the FglAM install guide for Unix to understand permissions (FoglightAgentManager_Install_UNIX_Revision1.pdf)
- Changing the user
This should be as simple as chown recursively for the root directory of the FglAM install
- Permissions
This is a more complex topic that is based on the types of agent you have running.
Ex: AIX_Console requires root privileges.
You may have to review the release notes for the types of agent you have deployed to determine
what level of permissions they need.
