Trying to limit the user to have a view only access right on the Active Directory Environment dashboard, so have granted users "Console User", "XXX Quick View User" and "XXX Dashboard User" roles.
However when testing this group, the following error is thrown when try to view the details of a domain controller:
"You are not authorized to access view "Topology Objects and their state-Grid""
Go to Configuration | Definitions | highlight Active Directory | Scroll down and look for the "Topology Objects and their state-Grid" view | highlight it and click Edit on right-hand side, the roles that allows access to this view is AD Administrator and Advanced Operator (from module Active Directory). What it means is it gets its access from the parent module "Active Directory" as seen in the attached screenshots.
So you can either add the role you need to the parent "Active Directory" or specific submodules under it.
