What does the "Stop processing rule after first error" check box in a validation instruction do?
Each validation rule is a javascript. If the checkbox is checked and one of the validation scripts detects a validation error, the other java scripts will not execute. If the checkbox is not checked, FTR performs multiple validations even if an error is detected.
The checkbox is not intended to allow the script to continue executing after validation fails. It's sole purpose is to allow successive validation rules to fire even if one fails, not to let the script continue to execute.
If you set a validation rule as a Warning instead of an Error, the script will attempt to continue after the validations are performed regardless of the outcome.
