Foglight Synthetic Monitor for Internet (SMIS) - recorder not seeing what we type in address bar (4251696)

We're not able to record scripts--the recorder doesn’t seem to pick up anything we type into the web browser address bar.

possibly it is because you may be using Firefox version17. QuestClick version 2.4.3.5 (the one that ships with the SMIS cartridge version 5.6.5.1) is compatible with Firefox versions 3.6-16.0, not version 17. This is being tracked as SMIS-149.

WORKAROUND

Downgrade Firefox. If you have installed Firefox 17, please go to one of these links to re-install Firefox 16:

1. Download Firefox 16 for Windows
2. Download Firefox 16 for Mac
3. Download Firefox 16 for Linux

STATUS
Waiting for fix (likely will be by Dec.14th, 2012). We will fix this without a full cartridge release. (i.e. you will not need to wait until SMIS version 5.6.5.2, for example). The recorder is not contained in the cartridge, it is an external link the user is taken to from the FMS web UI at 'Synthetic Monitor for Internet' | Administration Home' | 'Install QuestClick Synthetic Script Recording Tool to Firefox' . We will include the new (fixed version) recorder on that external link. You just need to re-install the recorder.
