When running Foglight in HA mode and switching from the primary server to the standby and back, the following warnings appear in the Foglight log file:
2014-03-12 14:27:25.505 WARN [IntelliProfile-Agg-pool-thread-6] com.quest.qsi.intelliProfile.baseline.BlDataProcessor - The time "1,394,584,200,000 ; Wed Mar 12 01:30:00 CET 2014" is duplicate for the metric "bc751cde-06f7-4166-a958-9a3a637b73ce" ; "bc751cde-06f7-4166-a958-9a3a637b73ce#DBO_Avg_Lock_Duration. DataValues{[1394584200000:0.0]}"
The IntelliProfile keeps in its cache the last time it performed aggregation operation to each one of the registered metrics.
In addition, the IntelliProfile works only on the primary server of the HA architecture, so the one located on the standby machine has an un-updated cache.
As a result, once a standby machine becomes a primary, it tries to aggregate all the time points that it 'misses', but since those points were already been aggregated on the other machine, a warning is being logged and this time point is being skipped.
No damage is being done on this operation except many log warning in the files.
An enhancement request has been raised to handle the amount of warnings in the log file.
The enhancement request number is INTP-174.
Please refer to the upcoming Release Notes of the database cartridge to check if the enhancement request has been implemented.
