.Net agent can't monitor a suspected .Net application is there a way to verify that the .Net application is using .Net code
Install and use the 'Process Explorer' (from sysinternals), where you can right-click on a running executable and hit properties.
Two tabs should appear - .NET Assemblies and .NET Performance which is an indication that the exe is using .NET code.
1. For standalone executable applications, just look for the corresponding exe names in the Process Explorer.
2. For Web applications, each application pool correspond to a w3wp.exe. (2 pools means 2 w3wp.exes and so on). An app pool can run multiple webapps too.
Right click on properties of these executabled files in the Process Explorer to determine if it's a .NET app
