"pg_ctl existed with error code 1" when upgrading FMS embedded repository database from 5.9.8 to 6.0 -
Description
When a FMS using an embedded PostgreSQL database is on currently on 5.9.8 and it was upgraded before (from a lower FMS version), the upgrade to to 6.0 using either Foglight Server, Foglight for Databases or Evolve will fail. The installer will upgrade the postgresql files but not the database to 10.14. -
Cause
Installer issue -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Restore a copy of the previous version postgresql files to the postgresql folder. Then the upgrade can continue.
STATUS
Issue fixed in new versions of the Foglight 6.0.0 installers; latest versions are available in the Support Portal: -
