On demand connections fail despite required ports being open (4312252)

Not able to get RMI connections working despite port 3235 being open between the Foglight Management Server (FMS) and the Agent Managers (FglAM).

• Port 3235 TCP confirmed to be open.
• Telnet connections on port 3235 can be established.
• Firewalls not running on the Operating System.
• Parameters "-Dquest.host.name" and "-Djava.rmi.server.hostname" added to the FglAM using both hostname and IP address.
• Connection test fails with error "Connection timed out (Connection timed out)"

Note: Confirmed that the connection test works if all TCP ports are allowed between the servers.

WORKAROUND

Please contact Support for a hotfix for this issue specific for the SQL Server 5.9.7.10 cartridge.

STATUS

This issue has been logged as defect FOM-1052 and has been fixed in the 5.9.7.20 and higher releases of the database cartridges.
