After creating a Custom Monitor for a specific Object Identifier (OID), the following error is thrown when doing a Test Monitor:
"Either the MIB is not supported or the credential does not have permission to access the OID"
Testing a different OID works fine.
Ensure that a valid credential which has permission to the OID is used. Select the correct credential and rerun the test.
Ensure that the OID being queried exists on the device.
1. Go to Devices page
2. Right-click on your device | Tools | SNMP Walk
3. Choose the Credential
4. Choose Walk mode (Walk All)
5. Press Get button
6. Right click on the generated list | Export | Save as type *.CSV
7. Open the CSV file and look for the OID that you are trying to add and see if it exists. If it does not exist, consult your device vendor to verify the OID in question.
