How to know if one of the monitored VMWares is down/not responding?

How to create a report of up-/downtime of these VMWares?

Use the rule: “VMW Virtual Machine Power State Change”.
The rule is disabled by default to avoid a lot of alarms on Virtual Machine state.

To enable the rule go to: "Administration | Rule Management", search for the rule and enable it.

Another option is the VMWare overview dashboard, where you can see which VMWare is running, suspended and powered off - see attached screen shot.

As a report use the report template “Powered off Virtual Machines” which gives an overview of the currently non running VMWares.
