The Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) or FMS crashes from time to time. It is creating Java dump trace file - hs_err_pidxxxx.log:

The problematic dll is [jvm.dll+0x1ff079] and it is crashing while doing a garbage collection:
"Current thread (0x00000000003c3800): GCTaskThread [stack: 0x0000000000000000,0x0000000000000000] [id=796]" (GC = garbage collection).
During the garbage collection the JVM found pointer which are pointing to an unknown location.
This could have several reasons:
- JVM bug
- corrupted memory
- physically broken memory
WORKAROUND:
For FMS on Windows servers this issue can be caused by product defect COM-1282. To workaround this product defect please add the following option to the FMS VM startup options in $FGLHOME/config/server.config.
-Dquest.common.process-runner.disabled=true
STATUS:
This issue has been verified as a defect and raised as COM-1282. This will be evaluated by our Product team for inclusion in the 5.7.1 release of Foglight (FMS).
