PROBLEM:
The MIB file downloaded from within the vFoglight "Components for Download" dashboard and delivered with the Foglight Integrations Cartridge called QUEST-SOFTWARE-MIB-V2C.mib does not appear to be valid.
Alarm traps are not interpreted on CA NSM's side correctly. They are receiving the SNMP trap as a long text string but their product is unable to interpret it using the QUEST MIB-file.
This is an old, out of date MIB file.
RESOLUTION:
There is no resolution for this issue. The MIB files are unsupported and are just examples of how to set MIBs up.
