Description

In vFoglight Storage 2.0 My EMC SMIS provider is reporting, “Error: Namespace root/emc is invalid”. This happens when I try to use Addsys to add my array. No arrays can be added.

Cause

This is a problem with the EMC SMIS provider.
Resolution

Resolution 1:

This has been resolved by upgrading from EMC SMI provider version 4.4 to 4.5
