In vFoglight storage 2.0 storage monitoring was configured and seems to be working, but the Data Paths are not being shown.
This is a known defect in vFoglight Storage caused by a bug referenced by Quest Tracking ID VM-3211.
Resolution 1:
1) Deactivate the VMware agents.
Go to the VMware Environment. Select the administration tab.
Select the VMware agents that are not showing the Data IO paths.
Click deactivate.
1) Redeploy the VMware Cartridge.
Go to Dashboards | Administration | Agents | Agent Status
Select the VMware agents (they should be deactivated and have red icons on the left).
3) Click Deploy agent
4) Choose the FglAM the VMware agent is running on, then select the VMware-performance-* package. Click Deploy.
5) Activate the VMware agents.
Go to the VMware Environment. Select the administration tab.
Select the agents that are connected to the storage devices being collected.
Click activate.
Resolution 2:
1) Deactivate and remove the VMware agents.
Go to the VMware Environment. Select the administration tab.
Select the VMware agents that are not showing the Data IO paths.
Remove these agents.
2) Remove the residual data in the system.
* NOTE : this will remove all historical data for the Virtual Center
Go to Dashboards | Management Server | Servers | Data Management
Expand the VMware Model
Expand Agents.
Click the Red delete button across from the VMware agents removed in step 1.
Expand Virtual Centers under the VMware model.
Click the Red delete button across from the Virtual Centers removed in step 1.
3) Redeploy the VMware Cartridge.
Go to Dashboards | Administration | Agents | Agent Status
Select the VMware agents (they should be deactivated and have red icons on the left).
4) Click Deploy agent
5) Choose the FglAM the VMware agent is running on, then select the VMware-performance-* package. Click Deploy.
6) Readd the Vmware agents and be sure to check the “Enable Storage Collection”.
7) Allow the topology collection to finish.
Defect request VM-3211 has been submitted to Development for a fix in a future release. Please check the release notes of latest software to determine which bug fixes have been included in this release.
