Can the connection type (WinRM or WMI) attempted by a WindowsAgent be set in the properties of the WindowsAgent? -
Description
WindowsAgents attempt to make the following types of connections in the following order. Is there a way to designate the connection type (WinRM or WMI) and WinRM port (5985, 5986, 80, or 443) attempted? If WinRM is not configured on a host can the WinRM connection attempts be skipped?

Resolution
Before Foglight 5.9.3 it was not possible to designate the connection type in the properties of the WindowsAgent. The WindowsAgent attempts the connections in the order listed in the "Problem" section. The WinRM and WMI configuration on the target host dictates the types of connections and the ports that can be used to connect to the target host.
STATUS
Enhancement request IC-3964 has been included in the 5.9.3 and higher releases of the Foglight for Infrastructure cartridge.
