Description
Receiving alarms in Foglight: Network Packet loss but cannot see any adverse effect from the VMWare side.The alerts appear to occur every 5 minutes and with randomly different VM’s, the VM’s are also on different hosts and even different host clusters. -
Cause
VMWare defect -
Resolution
Please go to the vCenter and check if the packet loss metrics for the VM reports the same metrics as Foglight.
If the vCenter shows the same problem it may be that a VMWare patch is required for ESXi 5.x hosts.Please refer VMWare Knowledge Base: VMWare KB
