Database groups are lost under the Database dashboard when database cartridges are disabled and enabled.
Is a utility available that can export and import the database groups?

Cause
R&D does not recommend disabling and enabling database cartridges. The recommendation is to reinstall the same or a higher release of the same database cartridge. -
Resolution
The serviceexport and serviceimport utilities have been attached to this knowledgebase article. They can be used to export and import the database groups.
The attached zip file contains an xml file (import-export-commands-1.xml) that contain serviceexport and serviceimport commands. The import-export-commands-1.xml file can be imported with the following command:
./fglcmd.sh -cmd util:configimport -f import-export-commands-1.xml
After the xml file is imported the following two commands will be available to fglcmd:
Export services:
./fglcmd.sh -cmd util:serviceexport -f services.xml [-query <string>]
example: ./fglcmd.sh -cmd util:serviceexport -f services.xml -query "FSMService : name like '%Database%'"
"%Database%" is used in the query as "Database Groups" are stored as such as an FSMService,.
Import services:
./fglcmd.sh -cmd util:serviceimport -f services.xml
Support suggests setting up test system where you can test exporting and importing your custom defined services. Users may want to test the whole process of exporting the group service, disabling/enabling the database cartridges, and them importing the group services.

Usage for the util:serviceexport command: -fThe file to which the XML is to be written. -query The query to select the services that are to be exported. If no query is specified, then all FSMService objects will be exported. usage: -f [-query ] The -query parameter is optional, and the default operation is to export all FSMService objects. In order to export only selected services the -query parameter allows a topology query to be specified to select the services. For example: fglcmd -cmd util:serviceexport -f services.xml -query "FSMService : name like '%Test%'" Whether exporting all or just selected services, the command will also export any service-related object that are contained by the services being exported. The command will export the DMCs, SLPs, dependencies, alarm filters, etc. It will also export the identity information of any other objects referenced by the service. The usage for the util:serviceimport command: -f The file from which to import the services. usage: -f The import command will perform a topology merge using all the information in the specified XML file in order to create the services. It will recreate the services, and use the identity information to restore references to other objects. One side-effect of the import is that it could restore/create referenced objects. For example, if a service is created to contain a host, the service definition is exported, the service and host are deleted, and the XML is imported, then the service will be recreated and the deleted Host object will be restored. Rule for exporting services: The attached import-export-commands-rule.xml file contains a rule (Auto FSMService Backup) that allows services to be periodically exported to a file in addition to the two commands for exporting and importing service definitions.
