DB2 - Real Tablespace Utilization
This alarm fires when the percentage of used space within a tablespace exceeded a predefined threshold. The amount of used space takes into account the type of tablespace, whether it can auto extend or not, the amount of free space on the file system and the DB2 architectural limitations for the maximum size. This limit depends on the type of tablespace (SMS/DMS/Auto) and the type of content it holds(Long/Regular). See the DB2 "SQL and XML limits" documentation for your database version for more details.
DB2 - Partition Tablespace Utilization
This alarm fires when the percentage of used tablespace exceeds a predefined threshold. If the tablespace is configured to extend automatically (Autostorage), this property is taken into account, and the alarm is not invoked. A tablespace is a set of containers that contain data. A tablespace whose storage place becomes full can no longer store additional data; as a result, the application's functionality may be adversely affected.
