In vFoglight Storage, the EVA management host will not authenticate. There is an error message in the Management Host status box. The extended information is, “no storage arrays found”. The Arrays Tab is inaccessible and no arrays are visible in the vFoglight Storage Explorer view.
This is generally caused by vFoglight Storage not being able to access information about the Array from HP Command View. There are several possible causes for this. Check the resolution section below to investigate further.
Resolution 1
Please check SOL73670 – This will validate that the Command View you are using is the primary instance for the array. If it is not, vFoglight Storage will not be able to collect from this instance of Command View.
Resolution 2
Run the following scripts:
C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\EVA Performance Monitor\evaperf all > outFile.txt
C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\SMI-S\CXWSCimom\bin\cxmofd.bat -h http://localhost -l
The paths might be different so validate the file in the path. Search for the executables if they are not in the directory indicated.
If both these files populate with information about the arrays, please open a service request with support
If either of these files does not populate with Array Data then HP Command View is not providing the necessary data to vFoglight Storage. Please open a case with HP and then contact support for any assistance HP might need.
