The SQL Server session dashboard doesn't show any data.
When opening the More details link, the following error can be seen: "Cannot invoke method getRMI() on null object"
The FMS logs shows the following error:
ERROR [http-exec-3415] com.quest.wcf.core.module.function.FunctionManager - Error executing script id=system:dbwc_mssql_SC_DataSourceSQLServer.10 name="'Get SC Instance By DBSS Instance' from the System module Databases/SQL Server/SC Data Source (SQL Server)" message: com.quest.nitro.service.sl.interfaces.scripting.ScriptingException: com.quest.nitro.service.sl.interfaces.scripting.ScriptAbortException: java.lang.NullPointerException
When doing a refresh on the dashboard, the data appears again.
The validation of the RMI On Demand Data port is successfull.
When the RMI host or port is null, the behavior occurs. The port may become overloaded when resources are exhausted on the FMS or FglAM, or sizing recommendations have been exceeded.
This is the primary root cause.
Look for duplicate host monitoring causing churn in the Foglight Management System (FMS) and deactivate or delete the duplicate agent. Knowledgebase article 4345216 describes how to address this issue.
Check the FMS and FglAM for space issues. Delete old log files if there is space contention. Some antivirus applications (e.g. Crowdstrike) may prevent log files from being deleted from the server.
Check the FglAM log file to confirm if the file is writing spam log file lines caused any other issue. The rapid churning of log files may be causing stress on the server.
