When I have set "Use Standard HTTP Ports" to no on our FxV(Foglight Experience Viewer and I can still see that port 80 is active by using netstat –an.
The parameter "Use Standard HTTP Ports" has no effect on how client browsers connect to FxV. This setting is only to configure which ports are used by FxV to communicate with other FxV appliances and for inter-process communications.
To force HTTPS connections for browsers you use a different parameter, “SSL Redirection Enabled” when this is set to Yes all connections by client browsers to port 80 will be redirected to the HTTPS port 7643.
The product is working as designed; please see the cause of this solution for a complete explanation.
If you wish to prevent client side browsers from connecting to port 80 or any other ports the network firewall will need to be configured to prevent the connection from getting to the FxV.
