The URL/hyperlink in a FxM alarm uses the appliance's IP address in the hostname portion. Is it possible to change this to use the actual hostname or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) instead?
For example if the FxM appliance's webserver (For the FXM web console) set to use SSL and use the FQDN in the common name of the SSL certificate for the webserver. As the alarm URL contains the IP address this will raise a certificate warning in a web browser as the IP address does not match the common name. IP addresses should not be used as the common name for a SSL certificate. Editing the URL would allow this problem to be avoided.
Enhancement request BR1741 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of FxM.
