QUESTION: When running auto-discovery of servers I noticed that for one server the "New TCP Connections" value can reach to hundreds but the "Active TCP Connections" value is showing zero. What is the auto-discovery seeing or not seeing in the traffic when a value of 0 Active TCP Connections is reported for a server? Please provide an example of what kind of traffic would cause the New TCP Connections to be high but the Active TCP Connections to be low.
ANSWER: The FxM is not seeing TCP connections that are successfully established. An example of this is would be clients connecting to the server but the server is refusing the connections and responding with a reset.
Check the All Metrics View for that server in FxM web console for more information about what's going on with the server that shows 0 Active TCP Connections.
