AskQ FAQs

What changes can we expect on March 16, 2026

How will Quest be using AskQ?
AskQ is an AI Chatbot on the Quest Support Site (support.quest.com). The chatbot will offer suggestions based on our Knowledge Base articles and Technical Documentation.

Who will have access to AskQ?
Users that log into the Quest Support Site.

Why AskQ?
Using AskQ, customers are able to:

What if AskQ does not resolve my issue?
If the AskQ suggestions do not resolve your issue, AskQ will provide a summary in the support case you open, so you will not need to describe your question again to a support engineer.

Can I opt-out of using AskQ?
We understand that some organizations may prefer not to use AI-assisted support. While AskQ is now part of the default support path, there is an option to opt out. However, please note:

We encourage customers to use AskQ whenever possible. Our goal is to enhance your support experience, reduce troubleshooting time, and ensure faster, more effective resolutions. Additionally, we will continually update and optimize AskQ so it continues to learn and becomes an even more effective tool over time.

Will AskQ process any personal or company sensitive information?
We do not anticipate users including any personal or company sensitive data. Our AI terms specifically instruct users not to submit personal or company sensitive information.

Will AskQ have access to my Quest Products?
No. AskQ will not have direct access to Quest Products or SaaS portals – only to the documentation related to these products.

Does AskQ access my information, or my organization’s information?
No. AskQ only accesses the Quest Software knowledge base articles and product documentation. AskQ does not access a customer’s environment, a customer’s data, or their application’s data.

Do I need to do anything differently at this time?
Quest does not require you to take any action pertaining to this notification. Beginning March 16, 2026 AskQ will be your first interaction to go through available resources.

If you want to formally object to this, please email us at privacy@quest.com prior to the effective date with an explanation of your objection.
