The 'Save template (can be run at a later time using Automation)' is grayed out when I do an Export from data grid.
Object Explorer | View Details | Data tab | right-click a field | Export | the 'Save template (can be run at a later time using Automation)' is grayed out or not available.
If we go to Tools menu | Export | Export Wizard | same settings and used the same View or Table | the 'Save template (can be run at a later time using Automation)' is NOT grayed out and it's available.
The functionality was determined to be working as designed because the result set in the Data tab is contextual. This includes the Data tab because the Export wizard from the cell works contextually.
They further mentioned to try calling the Export Wizard from the Context menu (Object Explorer) | Send to | Export Wizard -or- Tools | Export | Export Wizard (this is what we did already), which should allow the ‘save template’.
My developers also said that they can re-open this issue for further discussion; let me know if you want to do this and please provide your detailed reasons so that I may send it to them.
