SQL Navigator requires Windows User to have the Power User Rights. If you do not have Power User Rights, please have your Network Administrators give the Rights listed below to your Windows User.
1. Must have Read/Write privileges on the directories below (and its sub-folders). Not all the directories below might be available to you.
a. C:\Orant\
b. C:\Oracle\
c. C:\Program Files\Quest Software\
d: C:\Documents and Settings\your_user\Application Data\Quest Software\
e. C:\Documents and Settings\your_user\Local Settings\Application Data\Quest Software\
2. Please make sure that power users have full access to the following registry keys and its sub-folders).
a. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Quest Software
b. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quest Software
c. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE
3. Power users will additionally require Read access to the Oracle client folder
a. C:\Orant\bin
and/or
b. C:\Oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\bin (specifically the OCI.DLL File)

NOTE:
Oracle does not support Oracle Client 9i anymore. Please install 32-bit Oracle Client 11g Release 2 (you do not have to remove the old 9i client). Do NOT install any 64-bit Oracle Client as it's not supported by SQL Navigator in versions below 7.1.
