Uninstalling the Change Auditor Coordinator

I am in the process of uninstalling one of my Change Auditor Coordinators from my environment.  Can I just uninstall the software or should I shut down the service first?

It would be best to shutdown the service gracefully for 5 to 10 minutes before performing the uninstallation of the coordinator software.  This should give any events that are currently in the coordinator's send buffer a chance to be sent to the database first.  This would also prevent agent connections to the coordinator while trying to remove the software potentially saving from event data loss in the event that the agent gets the data to the coordinator but the coordinator doesn't have time to upload it to the database during the uninstall procedure.
