Mail agent(s) hosted on an agent host logs the following error connecting to a target Exchange 2010 server:
"Error -2147024809 The parameter is incorrect. : CExchAttendantCalls::ConnectEx failed! File: 'aeExchRpc.cpp' Line: '154"
Additionally "Warning 1722 The RPC server is unavailable. Server name - WPROQMM02, service name - Quest Migration Attendant for Exchange service is also logged."
There are three possible causes:
1. The Exchange Management Tools are not installed on the machine where the Quest Migration Attendant is installed
2. The tool is connecting to the wrong server for the Migration Attendant Service.
3. The Exchange Management Tools are not installed correctly even if they appear installed under "Programs and Features" on the agent host server
4. The Exchange Organisation information help by MMEX is stale.
1. Install the Exchange 2010 Management tools on the agent host server.
2. Change the "Default Agent Host" of the target EX server or DAG involved in the sync job to a machine where the Migration Attendant is installed and running. Or, you can install the QMM Shared components on the machine referenced in the above error - this will install the Migration Attendant service (as long as the operating system is Server 2008 64-bit and above) and the error should no longer appear.
3. Reinstall the Exchange Management Tools and apply any Service Packs and Rollup Updates on the agent host server.
4. Refresh the source and target Orgs in the MMEX console.
