Prerequisites: Enroll your organization in Managed Google Play.
STEP 1. Grant KACE Cloud permissions to publish private apps
A Google Play developer account is required to publish private apps. Using the same account used to enroll the organization is simpler to set up, but it's also possible to use a different developer account.
Using a different developer account:
If the Google Play developer account you use is not the same as the account used to enroll your organization, or has not been added to the organization, you must grant the account admin permissions:
- Log in to the account used to enroll the organization
- Access the admin settings for the Managed Play organization at https://play.google.com/work/signin?continue=https://play.google.com/work/adminsettings
- Invite the developer account as an admin
- Wait for the developer account to accept the invitation
In the Managed Google Play settings page of the KACE Cloud console, click the Grant Permission button and follow the prompts.
Uploading a new app and updating an app follow the same workflow:
- Select the Libraries tab in top navigation.
- Click the Apps icon.
- Click Add New.
- Select Upload
- Use the Browse for App Package Files button or drag-and-drop your app's APK file into the upload area
- Click Add
