When I bind a template to my model the model name is changed to be the name of the template. How may I prevent that? (4310801)

Problem:

When I bind a template to my model the model name is changed to be the name of the template. How may I prevent that?

Solution:

PART I:

Go to Home | Model Templates, Bind Template
Choose the template model
Choose to Run the Template Wizard as below.  Press OK.

That will solve the model taking the same name as the template.

PART II.  Synchronize on Model Load.

Problem: As long as the template model has no updates, it works. However, if I update the template model (e.g., adding a domain, adding an abbreviation), the issue happens when I reopen the models. I set ‘Synchronize on Model Load’ under File | Model Template to ensure the models are always picking up the latest naming and domain standards in the template model.

Solution:

Please check the Model Template Synchronization Wizard.

That will solve the synchronization problem.
